A shop is the best place to at least get an idea of what to look for. Try a Trek dealer, although the only bikes that Trek seems to have in extra small sizes are hybrids. The smallest road bike in a WSD they have is a 47cm... Specialized and everyone else seems to have gone the same way. I guess small women just don't need to ride bikes Sorry, but it's a fight I've been fighting for over 30 years now

The hybrids can be adapted to road style if that's what your wife wants but it's not cheap. A bike shop would at least get you headed in the right direction. Trust me, you have a problem that isn't easy to fix. Keep plugging at it and keep watching for a Terry
