5) Weather conditions

I have tried many, many bib shorts and I am curious to learn more about your evaluation process. Cheers.
lol that's a lot of information.
  1. Tarmac SL
  2. Toupe Team 143
  3. Easton Circuit, Rubino Pro 23c, F-75psi/R-85psi
  4. ~1500km, break down? Not sure, Probably 1/2 on the eBay shorts and 1/2 on the PI, Assos just got them for 2 rides, 30km hills and 50km flats.
  5. I ride around 18-26C now, was warmer 2 months ago, hence more sweating on the eBay shorts.
  6. Evaluation process? If I have no reminder from my butt that I just had a long ride, the shorts are GOOD!
  7. PS I wear seamless CK underwear..

One thing I think that is worth paying more for is more panels. The nice 8-10 panel bibs cradle the contour of the body better with keeps them from wrinkling and bunching, while have the added benefit of not making you look like a member of the Polish national cycling team.
15+ washes probably won't show anything, maybe after 6 months haha, if I remember.

If you are going to make a comparison with $150 Assos, you should really compare them to the high end PI's. Then they compare well. I am only buying PI Pro's from now on.
The PI bibs are pretty high end I think, they are the Garmin Transitions team kit. I guess there is better though, those with the 4D chamois. I took a look at it at the lbs, did not seem much better visually.
