Yes. It was in a the kitchen because we live in Portland and it is always raining outside. But I can assure it has been made while camping. I just didn't have a video camera with me then



We used a similar dripper you show there on our last trip for 15 months and it makes a pretty good cup! One of the things we were really keen on was trying to find a coffee maker that had little to no pack volume since we are taking Bromptons and space is at a premium. The dripper for us, never nested in any of our pots but was in a separate bag and took up space. Hence a search for an alternative.

That is true that it is a bit more active process and we can't just let it drip through while in camp. We'll probably experiment with only agitating the first two minutes and letting it steep the remaining.

Making coffee for me involves letting it drip while breaking camp

and here's my patented campground cappuccino a coffee drink I've been delighting friends with for decades frothed by agitating instant milk in a nalgene with just a little bit of sugar..... the perfect campground cappuccino.
Will have to try frothing milk that way sometime!
