This might be boring to include so much, but I thought I'd share this experience. Also, I'm curious what you might do in my situation. Like if you had to pick an option from 1-6. This is a blast - and the responses from the shops have been very informative. I've been saving for ages and springing out with my cash - I didn't know it would be so hard to spend my hard earned savings. But buying is so fun. I've been a unlucky being so small (5'7"/135lbs) , but it's coming together - only had to wait a bit. I was riding a Nishiki fixed this past year - but the wheels got pinched - so I sold the frame and started working on this dream bike. Saved up - and then:

Let me say that in our end of the business it's normal to
wait a few days for a frame. At KMart, bicycles come in
two flavors, boys' and girls'. You roll one out.

Lesser main brands like Schwinn and Trek go
small-medium-large.

Pro frames come in 12 or 14 sizes so even a well supplied
shop like us, with a dozen track frames and as many built
single gear bikes on any given day, won't have every size
in every model. We simply cannot. So we rely on our
suppliers for quick service.

Nagasawa makes so very few frames it could be a long while.

I have a customer with 'dibs' on the first available 49. She's waiting since December.

So if you are in no hurry, OK. If you want to discus other frames that's fine too.

Not right now, that's a tough size to find. i can get brand new surly or bare knuckle frame sets in that size. surly's are $390 new frame/fork. bare knuckle are italian made and $550 frameset.

Thanks for the email. Sorry to say Benotto quit making those recently and the one US distributor just ran out of his scratch and dent ones. They were made in Mexico. So I have been offering a tig welded frame only for the same price. I can quote a fork too. I can do a lugged frame only for $600 with our standard lugs and english BB.

We sell Tig welded italian frames called barenknuckle for $650 and Tig
welded Soma frames for $450. Lugged frames are rare these days and the only ones we sell are $975 and up
