I had a buddy who sold these in his shop about a decade ago, or so. I kinda always thought they were relatively "run of the mill" Italian bikes....nice, but not especially nicer than most of the others out there. Decent build quality, pinned (I think) and brass brazed lugged bikes. I seem to remember they did have good paint too. SLX is a good, durable tubeset...not ultra-light but not heavy either. It is drawn tubing, so it is a bit stronger than the seamed tubing Columbus made. I'm sure if your interested, someone here will have the tensile strengths and actual tube weights. If I were in the market for this bike, I personally wouldn't go above a couple hundred for it though (if that), and that's if the paint was in really really good condition.
