Not a longer chain unless OP plans to crosschain, big cr to big cog. But, it does raise the issue of OP's RD capacity, both with respect to largest cog and take up if you switch to a compact. Guessing, the safest/cheapest alterative is to go a step bigger in the rear casssette. Depending on the RD the 12-25 seems conservative. I went to a 12-30 on my Ultegra 10spd RD, but I had a lot of drop on the hanger to play with. If you go to a compact as well, you may be looking at replacing the RD, and I guess it's possible the FD will also fall short [pun?]. Looks the specs. up online.
