Dumb question - why would my derailler hanger be out of alignment now if everything was working ok a couple days ago and it hasn't been dropped or hit? Visually, it looks ok -- which may not mean a lot. If it's bent, it's not bent enough to look at it and know.

I'm out of cables, so I'll go to the shop today and get a couple, replace the cable and clean the housings well. Brad, I don't think it's the shifter -but it did sit unused from Dec 2 of last year to early March this year.
