Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

A couple of thoughts;
-Is the 105 brifter really a 10-speed? Any chance it's 9?
-Did you ratchet the brifter completely to the smallest (most slack) cable position before attaching the cable to the rd?
