Hello thar bike mechanic type people, I have a question with perhaps a simple answer perhaps not, I have a 2009 K2 Zed mountain bike that I want to change the bb and crankset on, my question is how do I know if a Shimano LX FC-M582 Crankset will fit my bike? do you need more info to answer that question? if so just let me know and I can look at my bike and try to get the info.

I assume that bb/cranksets are not one size fits all and I would hate to order one of these only to find out that it won't work as a replacement.
