Have you looked at the Adventure Cycle's TransAm route? It passes just on the other side of the Rockies from Denver. You could turn off the trail at Walden and go over either Cameron Pass or Trail Ridge Road. You could continue on to Kremmling and go over either Trail Ridge or Berthoud Pass or you could go to Silverthorn and get to Denver over Loveland Pass. The route isn't exactly set up for credit card but then there aren't too many routes that cross the Western US that are. Lots of spaces without places
