I think I will give everybody a laugh

First off I KNOW I better take a beginning bicyle maintenance class. Okay? Please don't tell me I need to take a class -- I already figured that out! So here's the story. Have a good laugh!
.
I decided to fill the tires with air on my Giant bicycle. I've never done this before because someone else always did it for me. Unfortunately, he wasn't around this past weekend. So I got out the tire pump and attempted to fill the tires with air. It didn't seem to work so I figured there was something wrong with the thing which is on the tire you use to fill it with air, (maybe the nipple? I don't know the name) that the pump attaches to. Well, I decided the little gold thing that you unscrew to fill the tires with air must be broken so I tried to take it off. I didn't know you only unscrew it part way and then use the pump. Well, the gold thingie wouldn't come off so I used a plier. Finally got it off and the tire deflated. Figured I must have done something wrong so I took the gold thingie off the other tire and that tire deflated as well. The LBS got to replace both tires. It was an expensive lesson - - -$32!

But, Now I KNOW (the LBS showed me to to do it) how to fill the dang tires with air. I also have no desire to learn how to replace a tire. I figured I have my cell phone and I will call for help. LOL
