Getting a new battery/s for ebike

Hi i have been asking around about batteries as mine doesn't last very long. A couple of people suggested that the battery i have is not for this bike and thats why it doesn't go far. I have no idea about distance as i don't have that long attention span but when i said suburb to suburb(how far i go) they estimated something i guess and said well that is terrible. So a friend said to me to get 3 of these batteries http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/sh...cb12v20ah.html
. He is a computer scientist and just converted his bike. He at first said he bought what i have now which i think he said something like SLA led battery that was cheap. Maybe $50 Australian . But it doesn't get him very far. He said with one of the other batteries he bought on the same above website was clocking 50km on average every charge.

My question is about the connecting the wires on the battery like the one i am using now. The friend i have been talking to doesn't live close by to help me and i never seem to get 100% of the story. I am also unexperienced with this type of item. Will i have to do some soldering? I have done some on other types of electronics over the years. It is possible i can get a neighbour to help but i like to know as much as i can so i don't buy the wrong thing. On the second page there is another battery that is a possible. I had heard that i can just click something on rather than soldering but as both these batteries have different things on top i have no idea what is what. I am referring to this site mainly as the friend did the research and this site has the best deal in Australia.
