imho, platforms for a road bike, no need to get fancy or expensive... $10-20 @ pricepoint or any other shop will get you an adequate pedal... no need droppin $80 on a downhill racing platform... hell, I bet you know someone with some old ones hanging around in the garage that came off a casual trail bike, might be able to get them for free
