Bikes: 80s Gardin. Green fixed-gear. POS mountain bike.

I remember the first flat tires I fixed. It was a struggle. Doing it wrong, getting flats, and I just wanted to RIDE!!!

Every new problem on my bike is a struggle. I research, I obsess, I spend way to long figuring out how the ****in thing works and going back and forth to the bike shop getting parts.

In the end, you learn, and the next time, it's easy.

I can spend lots of time reading a maintenance book or the Sheldon Brown site, but until I have to struggle with my bike, I can't really take it in. It's a spiritual battle

If my bike worked perfectly all the time, I'd probably be bored...
