Yes, it was for two tubes and the labor was expensive -- $7.00 per tube. On top of that I had to wait 3 hours before the LBS could get to it. I am going to study up on how to change a tube but hopefully I won't need to learn that lesson for a while YET. The only thing the LBS taught me was how to fill the tire with air. Even when I take a maintenance class, I'm sure I will forget how to do it before I need to do it. And thanks for "dictionary" on bike terminology. Boy, was I way off on what I was talking about. You're also right, I better learn how to do bike maintenance if I don't want to haul it to the shop every time I have a problem. I just figured my bike was "good" enough that it wouldn't ever have any problems. Thanks again for all the help. It is refreshing.

It took me a good 45 minutes to fix my first flat tire, and I got black grease all over everything. Now I can do it in just over 5 minutes, maybe a little longer if it's the rear tire.
Take a repair class and/or watch videos on YouTube, then go to your garage, take the wheels off your bike and practice. Once you've done it a couple of times you'll get the hang of it and it won't be a problem any more.
