I just picked up some Omniums with a 50T chainring. The seller stated that it was "true track" but i'm curious what effect will a 50T have over what I've come to believe is a standard 48T chainring. Apparently the chainring is a vintage Sugino Mighty (somehow different then the current version, or so the seller stated). Would it be best to leave it on or switch it to a 48T? The seller was very animate about this chainring being worth a lot, NJS ect but i'm just interested in the difference of a 48T v 50T. About to purchase a cog but wanted to see what the more veteran forum members had to say.
