Some component questions:
1) I've decided to go STI on this build, because I think its cooler. Just a personal choice. Are the Shimano Sora (ST3400) shifters of decent quality? How does it feel with the thumb downshift, vs pushing the whole lever? Alternatively, are there any other equivalents in price?
2) I read about the 105 RD being worth the extra money - is this just for weight, or is it that much better of a shift? I dont need them to be crazy crisp, just solid enough for me to ride on and not be annoyed with.
