Just to make thing clear, if we start using the can we put it on our salad test to determine which things are safe on our bicycle it's going to make it difficult to do anything. Something as simple as Tire Slime contains glycol and is poisonous if ingested. I'm sure most of the greases, oils, polishes and cleaners we use on an everyday basis would make you sick if one tried to eat them.

Hopefully most of us here are beyond the pre-school paste-eating stage in life and don't really require warnings not to ingest chain oil or household cleaning products.

The real question I would like the answer to is: are there any long-term effects of OA on the kidneys when used in the extremely diluted form we use it when casual contact with the skin happens occasionally? My opinion is that if it were THAT dangerous then it wouldn't be used by deck cleaners, carpenters, and in products like Barkeeper's Friend and other household cleaners.
