I've been looking at these for a serious road pedal. I like the 8mm stack height, seems like a good concept (at least in theory).

So you can walk in these cafe cleats pretty good, huh? I've done some reading on them and apparently even when worn down they don't affect the engagement at all.

I guess the alternative to these in my mind are the speedplays which have a low stack height and double sided engagemnt. I just don't want to mess around with cleat covers, etc
