It's meant to make you horny. The model is really pretty, got a really nice bod.
I don't know what they are trying to do. Ads should increase sales. Is Assos trying to appeal to potential male buyers or female buyers? I was looking at the website for my wife. I want to get her some comfy shorts. If I showed her the website I can't say it would make her want to get Assos. Some gals, perhaps. For guys, I don't know how the pics would make them think, "I want to get Assos." I really like Assos stuff. I'm loaded down with it for all seasons, bibshorts, knickers, tights, jerseys, jack. It's very good. If you buy Assos, you will not be unhappy.
But, I also really like Gore Bikewear, Castelli and DeMarchi, and they seem to be able to sell without showing tease-tits pics. (Their Assos/Cytech EIT-padded bottoms are darned comfy. Not inferior to the full Assos bottoms in any way. GBW, an American company, mfring mostly in Asia, but all their design work is done in Europe, they know what they are doing, their stuff is top-rated in Germany. Castelli, mfring is mostly outsourced, but also true for Assos. DeMarchi is mostly outsourcing, but you can get some great deals on MADE-IN-ITALY DMs. You can get some great deals on made-in-Italy Sidis, if you know what you're doing. Most of their stuff, however, is outsourced to Eastern Europe these days.)
Look's gal-model is more athletic looking than the Assos girl, albeit not as pretty. But I'm not going to buy Look apparel because they have a hot-body model.
Marzocchi used to have really salacious pics. But I never got one of their suspension forks for my MTBs. Fox and Magura had awesome air-suspension forks, sans titillating sales art. So I went with them. NIICE forks.
