Guess what I was up to last weekend?
Feeeender tiiiiiime! Glad I live at an art school with a full metal and wood shop. I was able to do all filing, hacking, and Weigle's denting method with school resources. I spent probably at least 3 or 4 hours taking my time installing and being sure they were right.
The only big issue was that the kickstand plate doesn't have enough clearance with the screw through the chain stay bridge.

Had to use a zip tie. I also noticed that there seems to be a lot of damage here from the kickstand plate. I'm not sure what to do about it and if it's a really serious issue.
I also installed pitlock skewers so I'll have peace of mind when I lock this thing up outside. Gold rims and QR skewers are just asking for it in Detroit.
Over all I'm still really happy with this bike, the bars are just really my issue. They make this bike too unstable for city riding. Just too narrow and uncomfortable break placement. Porteurs and inverse levers from VO should be here early next week so that shouldn't be and issue much longer!
Here's a nice shot of the cassette and draileur. Still haven't cleaned the chain and cassette yet but that gold really shines through anyway!
