Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

I seem to recall that the Simplex shifter braze-on (this is the one that looks like a little piece of folded sheet metal?) use a non standard thread. Rather than M5, it used something like 5mm x 1.0mm.

Perhaps you could run an M5 bottoming tap through it to reform the threads to standard M5?
