Enjoying snow is one thing. Living with snow for months is another. I wouldn't mind few weeks of fluffy, clean snow, but few months of it is too much. Also, snow in a large city just creates misery by crippling the transportation and quickly turning to dirty slush and frozen slush. Perhaps, in rural areas where snow can stay fluffy and clean for longer it can be more enjoyable.
So Denver rates lower than NYC. I kind of suspected that. I've been watching the weather for several cities in USA, since this thread started, and Denver has been constantly colder than NYC with brief temperature spikes in the afternoon. Too much temperature jumps and too many cold days for my liking

The drastic temperature changes is what bothers me a lot in NYC too. Not surprised that CA takes top spots though.
