I had a standard Nervar Star 52/40 crank in front and a Campagnolo Rally in back on a 14-34 freewheel. Low gear was 31.5 inches. Not nearly enough. This year I'm swaping the Nervar for a Stronglight 49D and going with something like a 26-46 in front for this ride.
