Synopsis of Ride: Ooog--Chalk yet another one up to the Hazard of New Functions. I was not at all prepared for the final climb up Pine Creek. Beautiful, beautiful ride, but harrrrd. This was the first time I've ever had to WALK my bike at an event, (and I had a 38-27!!) This was a real wake-up call for l'Etape next month. I really came apart on Pine Creek--but strangely enough, was only passed by 2 or 3 people, and I caught them plus several more after that pass. Weird.
