Rode from my house to camp pendleton in SD county and back (minus a few miles as it got dark and I got a ride after doing my 100 miles). At mi 67 my left knee became useless and I ended up doing some 1 legged pedaling for the next 25 miles. Not sure what happened, but it started to clear up around mile 92. Due to this, the heat, and the fact it was self supported (went through 9 bottles of water!), I think this was tougher than the century in Death Valley last month. Max temp was up on santiago canyon....it was scorching hot up there.
