Everyone gets bike envy now and again, so here's a thread for that*. I love my Le Tour, but the other day I rode my friend's 1981 Colnago Super with full Dura Ace 12-speed kit. I have never ridden a steel bike so light and responsive before. It's only 3lbs heavier than my Aluminum/Carbon Motobecane, turn in and cornering responsiveness are fantastic, and if he had the seat positioned a little further forward on the post the fitment of the frame would be just about perfect. It's a truly lovely riding bike. Sadly, it's a Colnago and I'm in college so unless I can find one like he did that won't be in the cards for a while. Until then I can always dream!

It needs a little cleaning up, which I should be doing soon for him. It's such a pretty bike!
He found it at our local Salvation Army for $4. Four dollars. Sometimes I hate him a lot.
