SKS Longboard Fenders
I installed SKS Longboard fenders on my long distance bike that I use for camping trips and whatnot. This post is about the front fender because the rear fender isn't an issue.
I suppose the front fender, in a state of stock configuration, is a decent design if its user only rides in places where few objects will present themselves, like rural roads. I live in the city where curbs, steps, pot holes, and road debris are common obstacles. The front fender frequently catches/rubs/scoops all of these objects when I am headed out of the city into rural areas.
I'd like to take the front fender up a few inches to create more clearance. Does anyone have any experience cutting SKS fenders? If so, how do you keep the cut clean and precise?
