This is illustrative of the whole problem we face here in the US. We have ivory tower rich and middle-class kids ('kids' in the sense of maturity, not numerical age) with numerous family connections that can be brought into play during economic emergencies, thinking that everyone else (the working poor and the homeless) just has to make better decisions, and that saving one's money will always result in being able to pull oneself out of poverty. They never seem to consider that the homeless person got to be that way due to losing a hand-to-mouth job, and doesn't have a family to fall back on, and NEVER had an income that allows for discretionary spending, and that those Nikes probably came out of someone's trash.

Tell you what. Why don't you get on your GT Tachyon 3.0 and visit the local homeless shelter and give the speech you just gave to all of us. See how far you get before they start laughing. See when they start to realize that you're not a comedian. See if you can exit without getting punched in the nose or worse. Let's hope your bike hasn't been stolen in the 30 seconds that it took for the crowd to turn from attentive to murderous, so that you can make a quick getaway. If you end up getting a beating, let's hope it knocks some sense into you.

Sorry to say this in a public forum, but everyone needs to know that your attitude is the mark of a fricken idiot!
