Your daily mileages look good. Take it slow. There is a lot to see.

An alternate route from GJ to Dgo is a bit further west and at a lower elevation: GJ to Gateway (hotel), to Naturita (hotel), Dove Creek (not sure if there is a hotel), Dolores (not sure if there is a hotel) to Dgo. It's a route of high desert country, lightly traveled roads, very beautiful. We came back to GJ that way on our GJ-Dgo trip.

The Canyon of the Dolores River from Gateway to Naturita is one of my favorite rides ever. Beautiful red rock canyon country.

There appears to be 2 places for lodging in Dove Creek and a couple of places in Dolores. There's also a ton of places to stay in Cortez.

If you are looking for some place to stay in Durango, Sachelis, I'd suggest the Leland House. There are cheaper places to stay but the Leland is quaint and has a very good breakfast.
