How do you retract your bids? Not that I wanted to, I just didn't realize it was an option until a week ago when something I was outbid on had the higher bid cancel and leave me as high bidder. That was problematic because I'd been outbid 2 days prior and moved on with my plans, bought the item elsewhere and suddenly almost found myself on the hook for the second item too. Fortunately, I was outbid again right at the end of the auction so I didn't end up wasting $50 on something I didn't need.
