Bikes: 2009 Trek 520

It snowed yesterday evening, the roads had a bit of ice on them this morning but I didn't seem to have any traction problems with my slicks. I love the sound of bike tires breaking through an ice covered puddle. 8C forecast for the ride home, so I'll be wearing shorts. I left much later than usual since I'm just studying for finals now. The commute is much more fun without all the cars around. Many more cyclists around 7:30, I also saw a motorcycle and a vespa.

It was nice to see that the bike lane they were brushing dirt into, got swept yesterday. Unfortunately the sweeper didn't pick up all the dirt that was on the road. In addition to various clumps, there is a slick muddy film. It should be dried out by the time I head home.

I need to start practicing getting my cadence higher. It dropped off significantly during winter riding and my knee is starting to complain.
