Bikes: Handbuilt steel with Ultegra10/FSA parts; a fully customized Bianchi Pista with phil hubs, carbon fork, king headset, etc. it's tough.

I know you can use regular CB cleats with them, but there is also a special road cleat too for them. Unfortunately the CB website has no info on what this road cleat looks like.
yeah - i noticed that, too. i miss the flash site that they had up last year.

i may go that route, but i'm going to give the ultegras a season to pan out. everyone else seemed to figure it out (heck, they're basically a rebadged look system, right?), so i'm sure that i will, too.

i think it has more to do with the fact that my fix/mountain bikes allow me to use shoes with rubber on the soles, while i use nike shoes with a cf sole on my road bike. it's super slippery, so there's none of my usual 'rest the arch of my foot on the pedal for a rotation' stuff that i do on my other two bike when i miss the cleat.

again, it's mostly me being stubborn, i think. i'll report back in september when i have another thousand or two miles on them and we'll see if i feel the same way.
