A lot may have changed in 8 years.
- Gas is more expensive and traffic is worse.
- More companies have been sued for that exact type of behavior.
- Office bullying is now a recognized form of misbehavior.
- "Gay" as a derogatory term is not nearly as accepted.
I wouldn't worry.
