Well if you're thinking about the aero portion sitting flush with the aero seattube, it's not going to happen.....

Nope... that's why there's the 27.2mm; that's the seatpost diameter... which varies among frames, although 27.2mm is the most common.
Your road bike takes a larger seatpost size.
