Any non-laminated leather straps will stretch quite a bit more than laminated straps. Soma's straps are the same thing as EighthInch, All-city, Origin 8 and the unbranded leather doubles sold on my site.
Been meaning to start a thread on this, have you tried/seen Avenir's Double Straps Scrod? I think Avenir has a bad rep but I used to have All City's and the Avenir's are about twice as thick and barely stretch at all, they also cost $10 less on Amazon:

Besides the leather being a lot nicer, the straps aren't connected as close together as they usually are, meaning they're easier to use on pedals like the GR-9 that weren't made for double straps (similar to Cadence's double-straps). They're also not as insanely long as the All-City's, I have about 4 inches left over and I have size 12 feet. I had to chop the All City's because they were huge.
Anywhoo, they're worth checking out.
