I have a Thomson Elite on my brevet bike, because that's my bling bike. FWIW, I have an Easton EA30 2-bolt post on my monstercross bike and it's every bit as good so far. It's not as light, but I can't say that I notice much of a difference in the 100g more that it weighs vs. my Thomson. (185g for the Thomson, 290g for the Easton) If 100g difference is worth $60, then go for it. Performance-wise, you won't see a difference.
