Well, I am now the happy owner of a 2010 Bianchi Vigorelli

http://www.bianchiusa.com/archives/2...ndo/vigorelli/

It was on sale @ the LBS. They thought they were going to have to order me a 53, but after trying out the 55 they had in the shop, I loved the way it felt and they confirmed through a fitting that it worked just fine for my build.

I tried out several bikes, including a few other Bianchi's and the Giant Defy. They were all very nice bikes, and I enjoyed riding all of them, but the Vigorelli just felt "right" - I'm not experienced enough to quantify the differences between the feel of the various bikes, but I decided to trust my first impression and bought the Vig.

Did I mention I'm horrible when it comes to impulse buying? Shopkeeper's best friend...

Anyway, I'm sure I could have found a better deal somewhere, but the guys at the LBS have been great with me and my wife, spending lots of time helping us pick out our hybrids and spending quite a bit of time with me discussing the road bikes, so I wanted to show them some love. Of course, it rained the next day (Sat) and I had to spend all day Sunday with family (missing a *glorious* riding morning) so I haven't been able to ride it yet except for a brief session on my rollers.

I'm a little nervous going to a double with the hills around here - there are a couple steep ones that have me going to the granny gear on my hybrid - but I figured I'd give it a shot and see how it goes.

What do you guys think of the component list? What would you consider a good price for the stock bike?
