Oh wow that is tough, I hope your patience pays off Vindicator.

With the sale of my old frame I bought a wheel for my 10 speed within 10 minutes almost heh heh. Got the cash and went over to the shop around the corner. So it's nice to at least have something to tool around on. Glad you do too!

The wheel from my 10 speed had also been stolen! Ha ha - the thieves in SF are fierce - and I blame my laziness mostly. Stopping in to see a friend and just locking up one wheel. In 10 min in the Lower Haight district of SF - and it's gone.

Anyways - after some very nice pms from the friendly folks on this forum offering frames for sale and builds - I've purchased a new 49cm Italian lugged frame and hoping I don't have to wait too long for it. I don't want to get used to all this "coasting" heh heh.

Next year or two I reckon the market will be flooded with tracks. More Velodromes?, more builders? - maybe someone will start an import from Japan? Amazing how remarkably difficult it is to find what we're looking for - without having to pay $1,500.

Quote from my original post: "Lugged frames are rare these days and the only ones we sell are $975 and up"

This can't be true for too much longer.
