I asked a similar question previously, and this thread may help.

For the record, I went with the Shimano 105 SPD-SL pedals. I liked them enough that I bought a second pair for my other bike. They're secure, stable, and easy enough to get in and out of. One thing I did notice, however, is that the black finish seems to show wear much faster than the silver. After just a week or two of use, the black pedals look more beat up than the silver ones which have a year of use.
