Swapping an old fork

I have an old mercian rando that I use as my commuter. I'm planning on switching the gearing to 1 x 7 to shave some weight, and also considering swapping the current fork for a carbon one (non-cross) with eyelets for fenders, just for fun.

I've found a couple options, but they're all 1 1/8". I need to double check to be sure, but I'm damn near positive that the mercian takes a 1" steerer tube.

So I'm wondering if I can somehow get a 1 1/8" into my bike (king devolution?) and, if not, wondering if anyone know's where I can find a carbon fork w/a 1" steerer tube and eyelets.

I feel like this must be a pretty common issue. Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.
