I can't help but think that the Aussie track scene is one big boys club and Jobie just didn't play by the rules and is now being ostracised. Probably safe to also add he's a bloody mess and is his own worst enemy.

After the drinking and fighting, all he has to do is molest some poor woman and he'll be fit for Footy!
