Ricoh has a better lens and sensor and is ultimately better in low light and available light situations. iPhone is always with you even though the Ricoh is very small.

The Ricoh has a real flash. The iPhone simply has a bright LED light that is not good for "real" photography. It's just good in a pinch when you need to document something...like the serial number on the back of a TV or something haha.
