Yes. I was comparing my GRD 1 to my current iPhone 4. I think the iPhone 5 will be a small bump. Like the 3G vs 3Gs. The biggest feature that I've heard talk of is the removal of the physical home button.

So, yes, from a photographic standpoint, I'd take a GRD1 over an iPhone 4 if I were strictly taking photos with the device.

Also, the GRD feels awesome. I think it's got a magnesium body with rubber pieces on it. The nicer Canon cameras have metal bodies, too.

You may be right. I haven't done any research lately. I'm a research nerd when I buy stuff. Any purchase over $100 takes about a week of reading. My coworkers can tell. "So, you are gonna get a new [guitar/car/bike/camera], huh?" Because they see me reading whenever I have downtime.
