There was a horrible crash at 30mph a few laps in, on the long straight going back to the start/finish. One guy had a bad brain injury with amnesia and siezures. Not good. He left in an ambulance, and will be in my prayers tonight.
I hate hearing things like this. It's too close to home. Best wishes to that rider and your friend.
I also need to learn to heed your advice. I have got to stop fighting for position up front at the start of road races as it takes too much energy too early. Let's see how much I learned on Sunday.
