That bike looks to be extreme low end, would guess it had been dumped as missing this part, and the orginal owner saw it was cheaper to dump than fix. Would suspect the cost of replacing the crank arm, pedal & tires as you say are rotted will be similar to buying a whole new bike; unless you can find another scrap bike with the parts you need, as you will probably have to buy a complete crank, and pair of pedals.
Yeah, I have plenty of scrap bikes, since I can rarely afford to by a new one. As for the crank arm, I consider that part of the pedal so I lumped it in with it, sorry. The bike itself retails at walmard for about $96, so it IS a low end bike and unfortunately until I can manage to land I job I'm stuck with bikes that cost under 1 Benny Frank. I have 8 changes of tires and tubes in the basement, so THOSE are no problems, I was just concerned with whether the 'crank arms' from a 26" would be too long/big for a 24".

As for the corrosion, it's been left outside in the elements for at LEAST a half a year, as I had to trim vines off the bike to free it, lol. Thank you for your suggestions and if I had the money I'd take them. I'm tired if riding/fixing bikes that are cobbled out of several others.
