See for me anything that would slow me down significantly is the biggest deterrent. Snow would cut my speed in half. I think that's what boils down to it: speed. If I can't see myself going my usual 16-18mph for the majority of my trip my mind says it's not worth it. But, with it being $8 for ever roundtrip to school I'm broadening my definition of "worth it"
