Long story short, I've been riding at least 6 days a week for the past 3 years on the road and didn't think it could get any better on two wheels. Went with a buddy mountian biking for the first time last weekend and I am hooked. Road biking and commuting are still my passion, but Saturdays are now reserved for the trails only. I "flip" bikes as a hobby and I am fmailiar with brands, components, and the whole 26 vs 29er thing. Now that it is time to find a mountian bike for myself, I am feeling like a bit of a newbie again. I have searched and searched and as far as NEW bikes go, this one seems like is has the most "bang for the buck" -

I am searching hard on craigslist to find something of quality under the $700 mark, but it is hard for me to trust a used mountain bike knowing what people do to them on the trails.
So what do you all think of the bike above and is there a better on UNDER $700?
