haha, that's a start! I like that advice. My feet tend to point straight when I walk or pedal so that's how I set up my cleats. Once I installed a pair of cleats slightly crooked on shoe. It torqued my knees and resulted in a sharp pain on the sides of my knees. It's hard to say, but just think about how your feet naturally point and adjust accordingly. I always start the cleat out in the dead center and adjust from there.
