Anyway, bummer about your wheelset I have that hub on my mountain bike's raceday wheelset, and picked it for the same reason: really lightweight. If you wanted something in that weight class with a higher-quality build, I guess there's Chris King...
That really sucks about the Madone but I feel mildly better now hearing about those DT Swiss hub failures. DT Swiss and Chris King were my other hub manufacturer choices but both came at a big premium for cost and both weighed more than the AC hubs. Can you blame me for picking the AC hubs? Apparently not since you race them for the same reason.
